Moscow crt seizes 779 mln rbl on accounts of Dell’s local unit

MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Arbitration Court has seized about 779 million rubles on accounts of OOO Dell, a Russian unit of U.S. giant Dell Technologies, on request of Talmer, controlled by Alisher Usmanov’s USM Holding, according to the court’s decision released on Friday.

Talmer sought to claim unjustifiable enrichment from Dell in the form of the amount paid in advance by the plaintiff to the respondent for technical support that was not provided since Dell had wrapped up its business in Russia.

Mobile operator MegaFon, also controlled by USM Holding, acts as a third party in the case.

The plaintiff said that Dell’s core suppliers are Dell, VMWare, and other foreign companies that terminated their activities in Russia, which created a high probability of halting work of the respondent and a threat of its insolvency.

Talmer is concerned about possible withdrawal by the respondent of the money in favor of affiliated and other entities, which would make satisfaction of its requirements impossible.
